About Declan

Throughout my life, I’ve been a successful leader in the non profit sector. I have headed up such national organisations as, World Vision Ireland, Focus Ireland and the Aislinn Centre for Adolescent Addiction. My mission, in each organisation, was to make them more robust, agile and sustainable.

I have achieved this goal in all three by developing and implementing successful organisational strategies that encompassed structure, operations, finance and fund-raising. In the developing world, I lead a US/Canadian relief and development agency which had projects in central and east Africa.

Today, I devote my time to Mentoring leaders in the non profit sector, as well as assisting organisations with:

I also concentrate on writing, and speaking about how we can achieve our personal and professional goals.

Education

I have a BA (Hons) from University College Galway, an MSc (Hons) from University College Dublin, and a STB (Hons) from the Gregorian University, Rome, Italy.

I also hold a Diploma in Addiction Counselling (Hons), a Diploma in Life Coaching as well as accreditations in Mediation and Conflict Resolution, and in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
